July 7,8,9-24 Watson Lake - Ninilchik

65 driving miles headed to the small town of Ninilchik, home of Rick's Halibut Charter.  En route was MaMa moose and baby headed to the auto parts store!  Never know what you'll see in Alaska!  Rick fished on the boat "Solo".  The boat is launched from the beach using huge tractors submerged half way to the cab in order to be in deep enough water to get the boat off the trailer.  Seas were rough on the ride out.  The view of the lighthouse coming in was pretty.  Everyone got their limit even though the 100 pound one Rick was hoping for is still swimming in the ocean.  Fresh halibut for dinner was delicious!
