4.7 hiking miles today as we explored the majestic views of the Banff area. Amazing! Saw these cute guys today.  We're hoping for bigger boys, but these will do for now.

Awesome views have begun

429 Kilometers today! Our travels today involved a stop at Costco to restock our fruits and veggies!  Our first view of the Canadian Rockies was breathtaking!  We've set up camp in Banff for two nights.  The weather report for tomorrow morning is -1.1 degrees celsius!  Guess they'll be some snuggling tonight!

O Canada

330 miles driving into the wind through the rest of the Big Sky Country! This did nothing for our gas mileage!  Oh well!  We passed through the Canadian border without any issues.  Ticked me off cuz I hard boiled 18 eggs last night so they wouldn't confiscate them and they never even asked.  Guess we'll be eating egg salad for lunch for a few days!

The Great Wide Open

Today we traveled across a lot of grain farmland with small, medium, big and HUGE grain silos.  Lilac bushes of purple, white and deep purple seem to grow wild along Interstate 94 in North Dakota - beautiful!  We were surprised by the Montana terrain (see below) as we traveled to our campsite for tonight in Fort Peck, MT. 428 miles under our belt today!

Tooling down the road

Checking off the states today as we traveled through the rest of Wisconsin, all of Minnesota and are a quarter of the way through North Dakota.  429 miles today.  Pam was behind the wheel for 3 hours giving Rick a nice break.  We're in Jamestown, ND at a former KOA, which means along the interstate and noisy trucks, but that's okay.  A place to rest our heads

On the Road Again (Day 1)

It's 8am May 25, 2024 and the Zack Pack 7 adventure has begun!  Today we traveled 402 miles to Fair Oaks, IN.  Rick's cousin Barbara & husband James were great hosts, feeding us and letting us park our rig amongst their beautiful 15 acres.

May 26th was a windy rainy day as we traveled 437 miles to our Harvest Host in Eau Claire, WI.  Rick had a stressful driving day and was ready for a glass of wine before dinner and will be ready for a bourbon night cap!
